More than 30% of the U.S. population is affected by insomnia, and more than half of the American population is complaining about, how they are not getting enough rest. Most commonly people see their solution in pharmaceuticals, which is why they look for help over there, which means more and more sleeping pills are being sold.

But people are unaware that these pills are very harmful, and actually they are more of a threat to us than help, if we look over it on the long run. According to many researches, these pills have the ability to cause negative side effects, such as:

  • Weakness
  • Unusual dreams

The insomnia is a condition that causes the inability to sleep because of many different factors, such as constantly waking up during the entire night, difficulties falling asleep, or waking up too early. This can be triggered by social, physiological or biological factors. Sleeping deprivation is completely different from insomnia, because sleeping deprivation is only triggered from things such as loud noises.

But the outcome of both of these sleeping issues and the lack of sleep, is still the same:

  • Lack of energy
  • Upset stomach
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Daytime fatigue
  • Anger and irritability
  • Moodiness
  • Lack of concentration
  • Anxiety
  • Fatigue

  • Poor memory
  • Lack of coordination

Your main priority should be, finding a natural alternative to replace these harmful sleeping pills only to avoid the side-effects they cause, and of course to prevent from the lack of sleep.

The nutmeg will be that magical natural alternative, which will be a cure for sleep deprivation and insomnia, which is a very strong sedative. One of the main causes for the insomnia is believed to be stress, it is also a rich source of myristicin, which is an organic natural compound that inhibits the enzyme’s release that are causing stress.

According to NDTV Food:

“This ingredient is native to Indonesia, and firstly it was discovered in the Spice Islands, this powder is made from a fruit seed, a fruit that grows on an evergreen tree, which is called Myristica fragrans. Now this tree can be found in Southern India, the Caribbean, and Malaysia as well. This is the only tree in the world that is used to create two different and distinct spices -- Mace and Nutmeg.

This tree is also highly valued because of its medicinal properties. The roots, leaves and other parts of this tree are used to extract the essential oils from it, and also to produce nutmeg butter, which are all used in many different beauty products, because of their ability to provide many health benefits. The nutmeg contains many nutrients, many minerals like copper, manganese and magnesium, and many vitamins like B1, B6 and many others.”

Besides all of its other health benefits,

“when the nutmeg is consumed in smaller doses has calming effects on the one that consumes it. Many ancient medicinal practices are crediting this powder for its de-stressing and sleep-inducing effects.”

The only thing you need to do is, get a glass of water, add 1/4 teaspoon of the Nutmeg in it, stir well and consume it one hour before going to sleep. Make sure the dose is always the same (1/4 teaspoon), and avoid consuming it during pregnancy!

The difference will be felt only few days after you’ve started consuming it.
