This recipe is perfect to transform the old bananas in a fancy desert or a snack. It is coming from Kristin King at the blog Dizzy Busy & Hungry, also it requires the four main ingredients, which are some of the most common in your kitchen.
Pan-Fried Cinnamon Bananas
- A teaspoon of Ceylon Cinnamon
- 2 bananas, lightly overripe
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- A teaspoon of stevia, honey or sugar
Cut these bananas in 1/3 inch thick slices.
Mix the nutmeg, sweetener, and cinnamon in a bowl, and put the mixture aside.
Then lightly coat the pan with coconut oil or another oil that doesn’t stick, and warm it on medium heat.
Then put the banana slices in the pan, sprinkle half of the mixture on top of the bananas. Cook them for a couple of minutes, and flip them to cook on the other side.
Sprinkle the other half of the mixture and cook them for another 3 minutes. They are perfectly cooked when they are becoming too soft.
Serve them with chopped nuts, or top them with cherry yogurt, you can also use coconut whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. You can also add them on French toast or pancakes.
